A few weeks ago I went with Kazumi to Kagawa prefecture in Shikoku. During our trip, we visited the Konpira Shrine, the most famous one in the region.
In front of the station…
Don’t know who this is.
If you give like 5 million yen or more to the shrine, you can get your name carved in one of these as well.
More stuff…
Hachiko…?
A huge propeller donated by some ship company.
I had no idea there were elephants in Japan…
Advertising… inside of the shrine.
As would be expected… there is a café conveniently placed inside the shrine grounds.
Once you get to the shrine, you can appreciate sceneries like these.
To get to the top of the shrine, we had to climb over 1000 steps.
More steps…
This was at the very top of the place.
The view from the top.
On the way back now…
I bet there’s millions of yen inside that thing.
Back down near the entrance…
Is this a plum tree?
Some huge dirty pond… The guy in charge must have been on vacation or something.
Some library on Buddhist books.
Inside the library.
Some strange looking shrine next to the train station.
